The Sudbury & District Health Unit has officially declared an outbreak of gastro-enteritis on floor 4BC of the St. Joseph?s Health Centre over.
No transmission of the still unidentified virus has been reported since Dec. 23.
Although the outbreak has been declared over, it is important to not forget that gastro-enteritis is still very much an issue in the community, says a hospital press release.
Handwashing is extremely important because the hospital continues to see patients with symptoms in the emergency department.
