The Greater Sudbury Public Library system will join Citizen Service Centres by again allowing in-branch services on Monday.

These services include browsing collections, computer use limited to one-hour sessions, printing, scanning and photocopy services, municipal services, access to washrooms and a place to warm up.

Residents who require Citizen Service Centre municipal services such as marriage licences and cemetery services are asked to phone in advance to make an appointment.

The shift toward normalcy is part of a gradual reopening plan, with libraries having offered curbside and counter-side services since Jan. 10 in response to operational impacts on service levels.

A grab and go model will be encouraged and capacity limits will remain in place.

There’s the potential for operational disruptions due to ongoing COVID-19 pandemic may require service levels to be modified, including a shift to curbside service, on a branch-by-branch basis and will be communicated through the regular library channels.

Masks are required at all times when inside city facilities and proof of vaccination is not required to enter libraries and Citizen Service Centres.
