Put away those razors. Wacky Wings restaurant staff are encouraging Sudburians to grow a 'stache during November.
The Shaughnessy Street restaurant is participating in Movember.
During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in Canada and around the world.
With their “Mo’s,” these men raise vital funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer. Proceeds from the Wacky Wings event are going to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation.
Wacky Wings staff will sell placards in support of prostate cancer awareness throughout the month of November. The staff member who raises the most funds for the cause will be rewarded with a $100 LCBO gift certificate.
The restaurant is also encouraging everyone to grow a moustache during November.
On Dec. 1 at 8 p.m., the restaurant will hold a “Movember Shave-Off” event. Judges will pick the best designer 'stache, most original 'stache and best baby face 'stache. The winners in each category will receive prizes.
