H1N1 patient dies at Sudbury Regional Hospital

One person who had tested positive for the H1N1 (swine flu) virus has died while receiving care at Sudbury Regional Hospital. The patient, who had underlying medical conditions, was from the Timmins area.

One person who had tested positive for the H1N1 (swine flu) virus has died while receiving care at Sudbury Regional Hospital.

The patient, who had underlying medical conditions, was from the Timmins area. The death has been reported to the Porcupine Health Unit.

Porcupine Health Unit spokesperson Gary Schelling said there will be an autopsy on the patient later this week to determine the cause of death. He would not release the patient's sex, age, or what day the patient died.
