All four local school boards are putting on a joint session Nov. 30 on the transition to kindergarten for children with special needs.

“This is an opportunity for parents to learn more about the local educational programs for children with special needs and the transition planning that occurs,” said a press release.

“Sometimes the planning and entry process to the first year of school can be a very challenging time, and we want to ensure that families receive the information needed to make an informed decision about their child's education.

“It is also an opportunity to meet other parents who are preparing for this very important transition in their child's life.”

The session takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 30 at St. Francis Catholic Elementary School, located at 691 Lilac St. Register by phoning Josée Cholette 705-523-7337, ext. 1483.
