Health Sciences North's HAVEN program is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
The program provides specialized outpatient health care to those in northeastern Ontario who are living with HIV or have been affected by HIV.
These services include nutrition and diet counselling, advice about HIV medications, access to experimental drugs, clinical trials and research, specialized lab testing, nursing care and support and supportive counselling.
HAVEN promotes early treatment and care, so people with HIV can live healthy and active lives for as long as possible.
