Greater Sudbury Fire and Emergency Services responded to a fire at Legend Boats this evening at around 5:30 p.m.

According to Platoon Chief George Lalonde, the fire originated on the roof, in the building's heating and air conditioning unit.

"We're not sure right now whether it was an electrical issue or technical, but we got up on the roof and were able to contain the fire and extinguish it with chemical," said Lalonde.

The fire was contained to just the HVAC unit on the roof and the interior of the building did not sustain any damage.

"There were no injuries and no nearby property was damaged," said Lalonde. "We've called in an HVAC technician to take a look at the unit to determine what caused the fire.
