“Blowing the Whistle for Kids Care” campaign is back for its fourth year.

Eric Caetano, a teacher and hockey referee in Greater Sudbury, spearheaded the campaign in 2013. Since its inception, the initiative has raised more than $7,500 for children’s care at Health Sciences North/Horizon Santé-Nord (HSN).

During a series of hockey games in December in which Caetano will be refereeing, he and his team of volunteers will be collecting donations for NEO Kids Foundation.

Their goal, to help NEO Kids Foundation achieve its goal of providing more support for families and better access to care for the North's most vulnerable patients.

“I am very pleased to continue with this event because it provides an opportunity to work with kids on the ice, and to work for children and families in our city,” said Caetano.

“My motivation to move this forward is the same as it was four years ago, to use our great game, and outstanding community within that game to support NEO Kids. My hope is to continue with this event for years to come.”
