HSN clinical trial receives $37k in support

Members of the Little Black Dress and Pearls Soirée committee supported a clinical trial at HSN to the tune of $37,500.

Mark Hartman, VP Regional Cancer and Clinical Support and Regional Vice President for the Northeast Cancer Centre met with two members of the Little Black Dress and Pearls Soirée Committee and recently and received an update on the clinical trial.

The trial was was conducted by Dr. Scott Young at Health Sciences North between 2014 and 2016 funded in part by Canadian Cancer Society through the Canadian Cancer Trials Group (CCTG, formerly the NCIC Clinical Trials Group). 

Through the successful fundraising efforts of committee members, Dolores Fortier, Linda Morris, Stella Marotta and Claire Fournier, the 2014 Little Black Dress and Pearls Soirée event directly supported the clinical trial in the amount of $37,500.
