The dynamic group of young people who make up United Way Sudbury and Nipissing District’s GenNext Cabinet are seeking project submissions for the Oct. 22 Day of Caring. The deadline is Sept. 23. 

The dynamic group of young people who make up United Way Sudbury and Nipissing District’s GenNext Cabinet are here to help.

Specifically, the cabinet is reading for its Oct. 22 Day of Caring, when its young members (who range in age from 20 to 39) will fan out across the region to assist non-profit groups and agencies with various tasks and projects.

But before Oct. 22, the kind of need to know where their help is needed.

That’s why United Way and the GenNext Cabinet are now seeking project submissions so they can be ready to channel their resources to where they’re most needed once Oct. 22 rolls around.

United Way said in a news release that projects can include client involvement, assistance with children’s and senior’s programs, gardening and yard cleanup and painting to name a few examples.

GenNext is currently accepting project submissions from the Sudbury area. To qualify, organizations must be non-partisan, as United Way is unable to support any religious or political group. Only qualifying organizations and appropriate projects will be taken into consideration.
