A company that manages a private communal waterworks project servicing a 100-unit subdivision on Radar Road in Capreol Township has been fined $4,000 for failing to properly carry out water testing.

Pine Ridge Developments was fined $4,000 after pleading guilty to two charges under the Ontario Water Resources Act.

Pine Ridge admitted to operating a waterworks without an appropriately licensed operator during the period of Sept. 13, 2000 and July 31, 2001, as required under provincial statute.

The company also pleaded guilty to failing to comply with conditions of their Certificate of Approval from the Ministry of Environment and Energy by neglecting to carry out analysis of the raw and treated water, another violation of the Ontario Water Resources Act.
