While voters watched the numbers roll in, officials counted and reporters reported, municipal election candidates and their supporters gathered at several spots around the city to watch the results.

A number of candidates opted to take in election night from the comfort of their homes, hosting their supporters or simply having a quiet evening. Others, though, gathered at local watering holes with their supporters.

The city's new mayor, Paul Lefebvre, hosted supporters at The Daventry on Regent Street. Miranda Rocca-Circelli was at the Beef 'n' Bird on Lorne Street with her supporters, while Bob Johnston watched the results from the Overtime Sports Bar on Notre Dame Avenue.

Evelyn Dutrisac, who was second in the mayor's race under the unofficial results, was at the Steelworkers Hall on Brady Street for her event.

The Knowhere Public House on Elm Street downtown hosted several candidates, including Ward 12 challenger Jeff MacIntyre, Ward 7 winner Natalie Labbée, Ward 11 challenger Christopher Duncanson-Hales.
