The Infant Food Bank launched its eighth annual All We Need for Christmas campaign Tuesday during an event at the Holiday Inn with several of its community partners.

The annual campaign, which runs until Christmas, provides the Infant Food Bank with three quarters of its fundraising every year.

Those funds help the Infant Food Bank provided much-needed supplies, including diapers, formula, baby food, crib mattresses and baby clothes to more than 900 families in the community.

“By the end of the year we're running low on everything babies need,” said Infant Food Bank executive director Dedee Fliestra.

For eight years Petryna Advertising has been one of the Infant Food Bank's main supporters during the campaign.

David Petryna, Petryna Advertising's president, said the campaign has raised around $700,000 for the Infant Food Bank since 2009.

The Rotary Club of Sudbury Sunrisers will host its annual Fill A Crib initiative as part of the campaign. With a $300 donation they can purchase a crib and a mattress that will be set up at a local business so customers can fill it with baby items like diapers and formula.

People can drop off donations at any dry cleaner location in Sudbury, along with the Holiday Inn hotel on Regent Street and the Pregnancy Care Centre of Sudbury, located at 1032 Lasalle Boulevard.

Monetary donations to the Infant Food Bank can be made online at pccifb.ca.
