The intersection of Kelly Lake Road and Copper Street is now open, police have reported.

Original story

A downed utility pole caused a power outage in the area of Kelly Lake Road and Copper Street early April 24.

Traffic signals in all the affected areas are back to normal, and power has been restored to most areas with the exception of Kelly Lake Road and Copper Street, according to Greater Sudbury Police Service.

Kelly Lake Road between Sudbury Iron and Copper to Robinson, as well as Copper Street to Corsi Hill remains closed while Hydro continues to work on the transformer and utility pole problem.

This could cause delays in traffic for morning traffic. Motorists are urged to consider other routes to their morning destinations or otherwise be prepared for delays.

Updates will be provided as they are available.
