Legend Boats hosting open house this weekend

With boating season just around the corner, Legend Boats in Whitefish is firing up their engines, and their barbecues for an open house this weekend.

Set for May 4-6 its manufacturing and show room facility in Whitefish, 20 minutes west of Sudbury on Regional Road 55, Legend is offering an opportunity not only to see the 2012 product line, but also test drive the new machines.

There will be events for the kids, a barbecue, and a chance to win a weekend getaway at Nipissing Resort.

Anyone who buys a boat can have two of their children, under the age of 16, attend a safe boaters course and receive their Pleasure Craft Operator’s Boaters Card, supplied by BoaterExam.com.

Although the drinks, hot dogs and hamburgers served at the barbecue will be free to visitors, Legend Boats will be donating $1 for each beverage and $1.50 for each hot dog and hamburger served to the Learning Heart Day Care Centers.

Visit the open house on May 4 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., on May 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on May 6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
