Until this Friday, local philanthropist Lily Fielding is matching donations for the Northern Cancer Foundation’s (NCF) Cancer Centre Walk/Run/Bike for Hope.
“An opportunity like this comes along only so often,” said Tannys Laughren, executive director of the Northern Cancer Foundation.
“We’re so thankful to Mrs. Lily Fielding for truly believing in the Northern Cancer Foundation and the Cancer Centre Walk/Run/Bike for Hope.”
Nearly 300 participants registered and took part in the Cancer Centre Walk/Run/Bike for Hope this past weekend, and raised $35,000 for local cancer care, research and equipment at the Northeast Cancer Centre so far.
"Let’s take this final chance to have Mrs. Lily Fielding match your donation and double its impact!" said an NCF media release.
