January is often filled with resolutions and bills to pay off, but for some, staying warm is their primary concern.

As a local heating contractor, Northern Air 669 Heat has been helping heat Sudbury homes for over 20 years, but they wanted to do more this winter, for people who may not even have a home to keep warm.

With the colder months approaching, owner Brian Eadie decided to run a coat drive to collect coats during November and December of last year.

“We’ve never done a coat drive before so we weren’t sure how it would turn out,” said Eadie.

“We offered a discount on customers’ service bill when they did donate a coat. We are really happy with the 40 donated; we have great customers."

All coats donated during the two month coat drive were brought to the Salvation Army where they will be given out to people in need of warmth during the winter months.
