Residents are invited to provide their feedback on the draft Downtown Community Improvement Plan (CIP).
The proposed Downtown CIP presents a series of incentive programs to reinforce downtown Sudbury’s role as the biggest, brightest and best downtown in Northern Ontario, the city said in a news release. It is based on recommendations of the Downtown Master Plan, as well as ideas collected from key stakeholders over the past year.
“Join staff to view and hear more about the proposed CIP,” said the news release. “We invite you share your comments and ask questions.”
There are two sessions lined up to provide feedback:
- Session 1: Sept. 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and
- Session 2: Sept. 8 from 4-7 p.m.
Both sessions will take place in Provincial Boardroom B at Tom Davies Square, 200 Brady St. Residents who are unable to attend a session can submit their comments online until Sept. 9 at 4:30 p.m.
Feedback received will be considered as part of the recommended CIP proposed for adoption by city council in the fall. Prior to a recommendation to council, the Planning Committee will hold a public hearing Sept. 26 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the council chamber at Tom Davies Square.
