The worst road in Sudbury – Maley Drive – will be closed most of Thursday as restoration work begins as part of the Maley Drive Extension.
In a new release, the city said the road will be reopen when work is complete, approximately 10 p.m. Motorists can detour via Falconbridge Road, to Lasalle Boulevard then to Lansing Avenue. Detour signs will be in place.
Also beginning Thursday, MR 35 in Chelmsford will see periodic lane closures as city contractor AECOM does periodic site work, from Highway 144 to Notre Dame Street east.
The work will wrap up July 26. Future road work will include road widening and water main improvements.
