Residents in the areas of McCrea Heights and Guilletville will experience lower water pressure early Wednesday morning as the city will be making upgrades at the Val Caron Booster Pumping Station.

The station will be temporarily shut down from 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24, resulting in lower water pressure.

Residents in the affected areas are asked to avoid any non-essential use of water during this time.

The shutdown is expected to be completed within two hours and normal water pressure will return at 4 a.m.

Booster stations are connected to the drinking water system and are used to boost the clean water to the distribution system at desired water pressures. This upgrade is essential to ensure safe and secure drinking water in the community.
