Naturallia networking event kicks off in Sudbury

More than 125 companies in the natural resources sector from around the world are in Sudbury this week for the Naturallia 2015 networking event.

More than 125 companies in the natural resources sector from around the world are in Sudbury this week for the Naturallia 2015 networking event.

Delegations from the United States, Mexico, Quebec, New Brunswick, Alberta, Chile, Finland, Germany, Sweden, Czech Republic, Austria, Bulgaria and the Ivory Coast have come to Sudbury for the business-to-business matchmaking event.

The event kicked off Wednesday with an evening reception at Collège Boréal and continues at the Holiday Inn Thursday and today.

Former Quebec Premier Jean Charest gave the keynote address at the event Thursday evening.

Naturallia 2015 will also feature talks by Stuart Bergman, assistant chief economist at Export Development Canada and director of the Economic and Political Intelligence Centre; Frank Dottori, the former CEO and founder of Tembec, as well a number of panel discussions relating to various industry topics.
