Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l'Ontario has appointed its student representatives around the trustees' table.

The French public board's student trustees for the 2016-2017 school year are Danica Pineault, a Grade 11 student at École secondaire Château-Jeunesse in Longlac, and Loïc Gauthier Le Coz, a Grade 11 student at École secondaire Macdonald-Cartier in Sudbury.

A press release describes Pineault — the public relations representative in her school's student council — as a motivated student who takes interest in the well-being of her school.

Le Coz, the press release adds, is a member of his school's school’s music and theatre groups and the science and mathematics program, “and is always ready to go beyond what is expected of him.”

“The CSPGNO wishes to congratulate Danica and Loïc for their nomination and is convinced that they will carry out their responsibilities as student trustees with dedication and enthusiasm,” the press release said.

Their mandate begins in August 2016.
