High school students are now able to apply for 30 per cent off their tuition while they make plans to attend a public university or college in the fall.

Students in a university or college degree program will get $1,680, while students in college diploma and certificate programs will get $770 each year through the province's 30% Off Ontario Tuition program.

Students can also now apply for OSAP and automatically be considered for 10 grant and loan programs, including the new tuition grant.

“Our tuition grant is helping to make post-secondary education more affordable for Ontario families,” Glen Murray, minister of Training, Colleges and Universities, said in a press release. “I encourage all secondary students who plan to attend college or university this fall to apply for the 30% Off Tuition grant - and to also see what OSAP offers.”

“Every student deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential,” Laurel Broten, Minister of Education, said. “That's why we're making it easier for students to pursue their passion in college or university with this tuition grant.”
