There will be no nickel bonus for the about 2,500 production and maintenance workers at Vale in Greater Sudbury this quarter.
In order to earn a nickel bonus, positive Vale Canada earnings are required, according to media reports.
Even though Vale's Q3 profit is up, the Vale Canada Q3 earnings were negative.
