The Northern Centre for Advanced Technology (NORCAT) last week received federal funding of $250,000 to continue to provide services to small and medium-sized enterprises and mining companies for innovative activities.

This project will foster the creation and expansion of businesses by encouraging new ideas to be developed. The region?s mining companies can also benefit from the project, through the use of new technologies created by local businesses and the testing of new processes in NORCAT?s facilities.

NORCAT will continue assisting businesses by offering these innovative services as well as development, demonstration and research facilities all of which assist the private sector in creating new products, services and processes.
