The Northwood Health Care Medical Walk-in Clinic on Lasalle Boulevard had its official opening Wednesday.
Dr. Pierre Bonin, along with Dr. Paul Fredette, Dr. Dennis Reich, and Dr. Paul Rheault, are operating the clinic.
They opened a walk-in clinic a year ago in Val Caron in the Val Est Mall.
?There was such a huge demand for easy, quick medical access that we decided to open our own walk-in clinic, and it ended up being very successful,? Bonin said.
The four doctors graduated from the Northeastern Ontario Family Medicine Program.
?Sudbury has more than 30,000 patients without a family doctor,? Bonin said.
?We wanted to give them an option, so that at least they can get basic care without having to wait in the emergency room for hours.?
The 2,500 square foot clinic is open to the public from 9 am to 9 pm, seven days a week.
