From Nov. 20 to Jan. 6, Gallery 6500 presents its second juried exhibit, “Oh Canada?”, at the Steelworkers hall.

The public is invited to meet the artists at the opening reception from 2-4 p.m. Nov. 20.

In 2017, Canada turns 150 years old. Canadians will celebrate a country that for many reasons is one of the best countries in the world to live. The gallery asked artists to help us hear, see, and feel the alternative Canadian history.

What are the current issues challenging Canadians, and what are their visions for our future?

Works by 11 artists from Sudbury, northeastern Ontario, and northern Quebec were chosen for this exhibit.

The featured artists are Patricia Baker, Linda Cartier, Bruce Cull, Susan Dalton, Judith Duncan, Kathy Foley, Martin Foley, Mackenzie Marshall, Frank Polson and Oryst Sawchuk and Sudbury Workers Education and Advocacy Centre (In the Bush Productions).
