The Ontario Public Services Employees Union (OPSEU) is planning an all unions rally for the Sudbury provincial byelection, Thursday, Feb. 5.

The union has invited members from the city's other large unions, including the Ontario Nurses' Association, whose members with the North East CCAC are currently on strike, the United Steelworkers, who begin collective bargaining in the spring, Unifor, and others.

“We are hosting this rally because people need to be reminded that we need to keep public services in public hands and northern jobs in Northern Ontario,” OPSEU said in a press release.

The rally will take place at the centre court at 199 Larch St., in downtown Sudbury, and starts at 12 p.m.
