Overnight outage knocks out power for 10,649 GSU customers

More than 10,000 Greater Sudbury Utilities customers were without power for nearly four hours last night.

The utility said a fault on a line led to a loss of power at 10:47 p.m. on Feb. 13, knocking out electricity service to 10,649 customers in the Ramsey Lake/Big Nickel Mine Road areas, including Health Sciences North.

Power was restored just after 2 a.m. this morning.
