Starting Dec. 1, parking is not permitted on any road, highway, laneway or side street in Greater Sudbury between midnight and 7 a.m. (Leith Dunick, tbnewswatch.com).

You know Christmas is near when the overnight parking ban kicks in.

Starting Dec. 1, parking is not permitted on any road, highway, laneway or side street in Greater Sudbury between midnight and 7 a.m.

“The overnight parking restriction is in place to permit effective and efficient snow removal on local roadways,” the city said in a news release Monday. “The bylaw will be strictly enforced, seven days a week.

“Motorists who do not adhere to the overnight parking bylaw may be ticketed and the vehicle may be towed if it is impeding snow removal.”

For more information about the bylaw, visit GreaterSudbury.ca/parking.
