Not all the students at St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School got to enjoy the Christmas break with their immediate families.
International students at the school come from places as far away as Shanghai, China or Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
So St. Bens vice-principal Merrill Sanowar organized a paint social at Salute Coffee House over the break for the students to try their hand at art during the cold snap.
The instructors for the social were some of the senior art students at the school.
They chose a picture that involved a Christmas tree and snow – something people around here are used to, but a novelty for the international students.
