Local children treated to breakfast and a shopping spree at Walmart

On Dec. 6, members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service (GSPS) paired up with children from the community to go on a shopping spree for the annual Shop with a Cop event.

Officers, including Constable Nickel and Inspector Mooseau, volunteer their time for this annual event to make the holidays a little merrier for Sudbury's youth.

The day began with breakfast at P&M's Kuzzina, followed by a visit to the New Sudbury Shopping Centre, where kids were invited to pick out $205 worth of toys and treats from Walmart.

"It's a great opportunity to get to know each other, and to show kids that Officers are approachable and here to help them," said GSPS on their Facebook page.
