Greater Sudbury Utilities has restored power to all customers in New Sudbury affected by a power outage this morning. The outage was affecting customers in the Drummond Avenue, Atlee Avenue, Arthur Street, Grandview Boulevard, and Woodbine Avenue areas of New Sudbury.

The utility said a "major line" went down and that's what caused the outage.

Customers in the Drummond, Rideau, Lavoie and Palisade areas were advised their power would be restored by about 3:30 p.m., but crews managed to restore it a couple of hours early.

The outage was reported just before 10:30 a.m. today.
