Express your opinion on building, transportation and energy initiatives at the second PowerNow! discussion, taking place April 24 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Northbury Hotel and Conference Centre Aspen Hall.

PowerNow! is an 18-month community-wide planning project introduced by the City of Greater Sudbury, to explore energy opportunities as a community and create a vision for Sudbury's future. The goal of this project is to create a plan for local energy that supports jobs and local economic development, while addressing climate change impacts.

Several subjects will be explored throughout the presentations, including where Greater Sudbury’s energy comes from and how it is used, in order to:

  • Be more energy efficient in our transportation and buildings
  • Take advantage of renewable energy opportunities
  • Make the right energy and community investments
  • Lower energy use expenses
  • Lower greenhouse gas emissions
  • Create jobs and improve the design of our city

PowerNow! Greater Sudbury is managed through the City's Environmental Planning Initiatives section in partnership with Sustainability Solutions Group. This project is funded by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and the Province of Ontario.
