The city's finance committee is inviting the public to give their ideas on where the city should spend money in 2014, as well as where money can be saved.

The committee will hear the ideas at a meeting June 18 at Tom Davies Square. Anyone who wants to make a presentation must register with the city clerk by calling 311.

Written presentations can be submitted online at www.greatersudbury.ca/budget. Forms are also available at Citizen Service Centres. Written submissions, which will be accepted until end of day June 21, will be provided to the finance committee members for review.

The committee will hear presenters in the order they appear on the speakers list. Presenters are asked to limit remarks to five minutes so as many people as possible have the opportunity to speak.

Deliberations for the 2014 municipal budget begin in October, with the final budget expected to pas in January 2015.
