Glenn Thibeault's three-and-a-half year career as a provincial Liberal came to an end last night.
Speaking with Sudbury.com political affairs reporter Darren MacDonald, Thibeault said he was proud to have been able to contribute so much of his professional career to the people of Sudbury.
Ontario's former energy minister also said his long political career often took him away from his wife and two daughters, and he would be taking some time now to spend time with them.
Although he didn't rule out a return to politics at some point, Thibeault dispelled rumours he was planning a run for Sudbury's mayoralty.
