Recall: PC Cordless Glass Electric Kettle

Loblaw Companies Ltd. recalls certain PC Cordless Glass Electric Kettles over concern that the handle could detach from the kettle. (Supplied)

Loblaw Companies Limited is recalling select PC Cordless Glass Electric Kettles (1.7 L) from the marketplace due to the risk that the handle could detach from the kettle. 

Products covered under this recall were sold between Jan. 1, 2018 and June 4, 2020, have the UPC number 058703098701, model number PC 3718, and one of the following date codes:

  • 3218
  • 1218
  • 3917
  • 1718

Products were sold in Ontario, the Atlantic region, Québec, and Western Canada at a variety of locations. 

For Ontario, this includes Fortinos, Independent, Loblaws, Real Canadian Superstore, No Frills, Valu-Mart, Zehrs, Shoppers Drug Mart, and affiliated independent stores. 

All affected units have been removed from store shelves, as stated in the recall. 

Customers can return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund. 

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this recall may have caused,” said Loblaws in a press release. “The safety of our customers is our top concern.”
