Today's high of 7.3 C is the hottest Feb. 18 on record in Greater Sudbury.

According to Environment Canada data, today's temperature beat the previous record by almost two degrees.The previous record of 5.4 C was recorded on Feb. 18, 1997.

Official Environment Canada weather readings are taken at Greater Sudbury Airport.

Sudbury.com will update this story if the temperature climbs even higher.
