The McDonald’s Restaurant on Regent Street was shut down for the day Nov. 22 after an employee reported that they had tested positive for COVID-19.

A press release from McDonald’s Canada said out of an abundance of caution, the decision was made to shut down the restaurant for a thorough cleaning and sanitization by a certified third party.

The restaurant has since re-opened this morning (Monday).

The employee who tested positive for COVID-19 last worked a shift Nov. 20 from 4-11 p.m.

All crew members who may have been in close contact with the employee have been asked to self-quarantine until further information is available.

Dining rooms are closed at this location, as they have been since the onset of COVID-19. Take-out, drive-thru and delivery remain available for guests.

Guests who may have visited the restaurant Nov. 20 are advised to take directions from Public Health Ontario.
