Repairs will close lane on Lorne Street beginning Monday

Here's a list of the city's road construction plans for the next little while: Lorne Street: The westbound curb lane on Lorne Street will be closed from Birch Street to Walnut Street due to a collapsing manhole. Repairs begin at 7 a.m.

Here's a list of the city's road construction plans for the next little while:

Lorne Street: The westbound curb lane on Lorne Street will be closed from Birch Street to Walnut Street due to a collapsing manhole. Repairs begin at 7 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 17.

Elgin, Elm streets: Pipe work on Elgin Street at the Elm Street intersection will begin night work from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. from Sunday, Aug. 16, to Friday, Aug. 21. Access to Elm from Elgin Street North will continue to remain closed for two weeks. Elgin Street South will remain open and not affected.

Elm Street East and West at the Elgin intersection will continue to be one lane in each direction during daytime hours under the direction of traffic lights. Police will be on site during night work to control traffic.

The Kingsway: Paving continues on The Kingsway between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. from the Nissan dealership to Paris Street Monday, Aug. 17, to Friday, Aug. 21. Intermittent lane closure will occur, but one lane will remain open in each direction on both sides.

MR 35: Borehole drilling on the shoulder of MR35 in Azilda will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, to Thursday, Aug. 20. The westbound lane of Municipal Road 35 about 25 meters west of the intersection of Marier Street in Azilda will be closed during that time. There will also be lane encroachment on Notre Dame Street East in Azilda at the Tim Hortons.

MR 80: Paving at the intersection of MR 80 and MR 15 will take place Tuesday, Aug. 18, from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning. Police will direct traffic.
