Laurentian University English professor and Scrivener Press owner Laurence Steven is retiring in June and moving to St. Catharines.

He can't move his entire book collection with him, though, and so on April 4, he's giving away as many books as he can.

People are invited to his home — located at 465 Loach's Road in the South End — from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to peruse his book collection and take home some (or many) books with them.

“I'll have coffee on, and there may even be muffins,” he said in an email. “Bring your backpack. If you need a box, I can probably help out.”
