The city is advising drives and transit users that access to University Road from Ramsey Lake Road will close starting today for culvert repairs.

This means Greater Sudbury Transit buses in the area will be detoured or rescheduled.

Routes 500, 501 and 502 bus stops will be temporarily out of service on University Road, between Ramsey Lake Road and the Willet Green Miller Centre. Passengers are asked to use bus stops on Ramsey Lake Road or near the Laurentian University visitors’ parking lot.

Route 501 travelling from the Downtown Transit Terminal will arrive at bus stops on South Bay and University Roads approximately 15 minutes early.

Route 501 buses travelling from Laurentian University to Kirkwood Drive will follow the regular schedule.

Route 501 will not serve South Bay and University Roads when returning to the Downtown Transit Terminal from Kirkwood Drive.

Culvert repairs will also reduce Ramsey Lake Road to one lane between University and South Bay Roads. Temporary signals will control traffiac.

Work is expected to be complete in approximately one week but may be extended if necessary.
