Police ID man accused of fleeing Kingsway accident scene:

Greater Sudbury Police are looking for 31-year-old Zachery Craig, in connection with an incident on The Kingsway last week. Craig is wanted for the criminal offences of failure to remain at scene of accident; dangerous operation of a motor vehicle; breach of recognizance of bail; and the Highway Traffic Act offence of Driving while under suspension. Police are still asking the public to forward any information to the Greater Sudbury Police Service at 705-675-9171 or Crime Stoppers at 222-TIPS, online at www.sudburycrimestoppers.com or by texting TIPSUD and the information to CRIMES (274637).

Woman's rights were violated, judge rules, allowing her to beat drug charges:

A  Greater Sudbury woman who was storing fentanyl patches in her bedroom for a drug dealer had her charges dropped this month because a judge ruled she was denied her right to a lawyer. The case dates back to May 2015, when officers received a tip from an informant that the woman was storing the patches for a known drug dealer from Toronto. They received the same information from two other informants, and began surveillance of the apartment. Sudbury.com will have the full story later today.

Skills Ontario First Nations mentoring event today at Cambrian College:

Seventy local First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Youth from the Rainbow District School Board will be participating in a local Skills Ontario First Nations, Métis, and Inuit-focused mentoring event today at the Cambrian College Student Life Centre from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. These mentoring events seek to introduce students to different career paths in the skilled trades and technologies, as well as networking and other employability skills. The youth will meet mentors currently working in the skilled trades and technologies, and explore a range of skills and hands-on activities. Mentors from Cambrian College, Gezhtoojig Employment & Training, and others will be present.

Public meetings focus on Junction Creek watershed:

After years of waiting, Greater Sudbury is moving ahead with studies of key watersheds in the community. A public meeting is planned for Wednesday, Feb. 15 at the McClelland Arena in Copper Cliff and Thursday, Feb. 16 at Terry Fox on Lasalle Boulevard to get public input on the Junction Creek Subwatershed study. Greater Sudbury has 330 lakes within 25 watersheds that drain into Lake Huron. A $2.3-million grant from the province will allow the city to complete nine watershed studies over two years. The studies will assess the health of several Sudbury-area watersheds and make recommendations for their care. Find the full story here.

Dancing with Easter Seals Stars 2017 lineup announced:

Easter Seals Sudbury has announced the lineup for the seventh annual Dancing with Easter Seals Stars taking place on Friday, Feb. 24 at the Caruso Club. This year’s diverse lineup of stars includes entrepreneurs, business professionals, a student, a science guy and a TV show contestant, to name a few. The Dancing with Easter Seals Stars event will feature a cocktail hour, hors d'oeuvres, dinner and a live Dancing with the Easter Seals Stars competition showcasing community celebrity dancers. The evening will also feature a special performance from past professionals of the Dancing With Easter Seals Stars event, Daniel Kaltiainen and Lucie Lacroix. Wolves and Greyhounds meet tonight in the Soo:

The Sudbury Wolves will wrap up a four-game road trip Wednesday night at the Essar Centre in Sault Ste. Marie when they take on the Greyhounds. The Wolves are are have one win to go along with pair of losses on the trip that took them through Peterborough, Kingston, and Ottawa and will look to break even on the four-game swing with a win in the Soo tonight. Despite trailing the Greyhounds by nearly 30 points in the OHL standings, the Wolves have had the Greyhounds' number this year winning three of four matchups between the two, while earning seven of a possible eight points. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:07 p.m.
