The power is back on in the Kingsmount and Riverside Drive areas. The cause of the outage was a small pole fire. The power was cut off so the fire could be safely put out. About 570 customers were affected.

In a tweet a few minutes ago, Greater Sudbury Utilities says it has shut off the power to customers in the Kingsmount and Riverside Drive areas near downtown Sudbury due to what it calls a small fire.

The power will remain shut off until Greater Sudbury Fire Services puts the fire out.
