Snow removal underway in downtown Sudbury this week

The City of Greater Sudbury will perform snow removal in downtown Sudbury to widen traffic lanes and improve access to parking from Jan. 15-18.

Work will be completed overnight between midnight and 8 a.m. in each scheduled area. Snow removal is subject to weather conditions.

Residents may experience some traffic delays. In order to facilitate snow removal, residents are asked to ensure they do not leave vehicles parked overnight to prevent towing. 

Snow removal in the downtown areas of surrounding communities has already begun and will continue as needed to maintain lane widths and sight lines.

The snow removal schedule in downtown Sudbury is as follows:

Tuesday, Jan. 15

Elm Street, from Frood Road to Ethelbert Street
Larch Street, from Elgin Street to Paris Street

Wednesday, Jan. 16

Elgin Street, from St-Anne Road to Minto Street
Minto Street, from Elgin Street to Larch Street

Thursday, Jan., 17 

Beech Street, from Durham Street to Frood Road
Cedar Street, from Paris Street to Elgin Street

Friday, Jan. 18

Notre Dame Avenue, from St-Anne Road to Elm Street
Paris Street, from Elm Street to Boland Avenue
