Some public health services in Sudbury are being temporarily moved to accommodate renovations at the health unit headquarters building at 1300 Paris Street.

Public Health Sudbury and Districts said there will be changes coming into effect on May 10 and will mean changes in the building and in other parts of the city.

PHSD said most of its direct client Clinical Services, including immunization, breastfeeding, and oral health clinics, will be relocated to the ground level at the 1300 Paris Street site.

Public Health’s Environmental Health Services will be relocated to 1855 Lasalle Blvd. This includes services for clients who need to meet with a public health inspector, for reasons such as a consultation for a food premises, septic system, small drinking water systems, air quality, housing, West Nile disease, Lyme disease, or rabies, said a PHSD news release.

Anyone picking up water sample bottles or submitting a water sample analysis will continue to go to the Public Health Ontario lab at 1300 Paris Street.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Public Health Sudbury & Districts continues to offer essential programs and services to clients. Public Health services have been adapted to ensure COVID-19 safety measures are in place.
