New Years Eve Family Fun Day at Science North:

Ring in the new year at Science North with a Gametastic celebration filled with family fun for all ages. See and touch more than 15 different exotic furry, flying and fluffy animals in the Vale Cavern with Hands on Exotics. Celebrate your victories with a countdown to the new year and balloon drop at 5 p.m.

Wolves and Colts face off today:

The Sudbury Wolves wrap up a stretch of three games in three days Saturday night with a visit to the Barrie Molson Centre to take on the Colts. Barrie is having its struggles this season and are currently in last place in the Central Division, where the Wolves are in a battle for first place. Puck drop is 7:30 p.m.

Weekend weather:

It's going to be a pretty smooth transition into 2017 as the weekend forecast looks pretty good. Mainly cloudy on Saturday with periods of snow throughout the day. Sunday will see a mix of sun and cloud with some chances of flurries and a high of -5.
