Streets near Steelworkers' Hall expected to reopen Thursday

Investigators seeking the cause of Friday's fire at the Steelworkers' Hall have completed their work inside the remains of the building. The site is now ready to be secured prior to demolition.

Investigators seeking the cause of Friday's fire at the Steelworkers' Hall have completed their work inside the remains of the building.

The site is now ready to be secured prior to demolition. It is expected that secure fencing will be in place by this Thursday. Once fencing has been erected, Frood Road, College Street, Adie Street
and Lansdowne Avenue will reopen to through traffic.

Full-time security will remain on-site to restrict public access to the building and surrounding property until fencing is complete.

The City of Greater Sudbury appreciates the continued patience of motorists and residents in the area. All parties are working as quickly as possible to restore normal traffic patterns.
