On Wednesday the doors of the Sudbury/Espanola Human Resource Centre of Canada for Students (HRCC-S) closes its doors for the season.
Â?We helped a number of students with their job searches, and we also counselled them on things like resume writing and cover letter writing, interview techniques, employment standards and wage rates,Â? says lead summer employment officer Tammy Lamarche.
The HRCC-S assists local employers find qualified students who are ready to work during the summer. The office also hosts events designed to connect employers and students, and to promote the benefits of hiring a student during the summer.
This year, a few of the most successful events included the second annual Hire A Student Day Hockey Challenge and the Cortina Odd Job Cruise.
