The Sudbury Charities Foundation is teeing off with its 2021 Golf Marathon Sudbury on June 21.

Held at the Monte Vista Golf Course in Val Caron, the fundraiser is set to raise more than $100,000 for children’s health.

The day begins at 8 a.m. when mask-wearing, physically distanced golfers will hit their first drives. From there, the 28 golfers will scramble around the course until well after sunset, sponsored on a per hole basis, attempting to complete as many holes as they can (likely over 72 each) to raise money for these worthy causes.

A release from the event’s board says Golf Marathon Sudbury has already raised over $100,000 this year thanks to over 500 unique donors, to add to the $200,000 it has raised since 2013.

This Sudbury Charities Foundation event will raise funds to purchase equipment and improvements for charities including: NEO Kids Foundation, Sudbury Cancer Treatment Centre’s paediatrics wing, Our Children, Our Future, the Waterfront Improvement Project at Camp Quality, and the Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer.
